Package Overview What this trip is, in a nutshell
The 6-Day Tanzania Signature Luxury Safari is designed for travellers who want a concentrated northern-circuit journey without sacrificing comfort, private guiding or time in the field. From Arusha, your private 4x4 takes you first into Tarangire National Park, where baobab-studded country, the Tarangire River and seasonal wildlife concentrations create a distinctive introduction to Tanzania. The route then rises to the Great Rift Valley escarpment for Lake Manyara National Park before continuing through the Ngorongoro Highlands into the broad plains of the Serengeti.
Two nights at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti provide a refined base in the Central Serengeti, with the flexibility to balance early and late game drives against time to enjoy the lodge. The journey then turns east toward the Ngorongoro Crater rim for a final luxury tented-camp night before an early descent to the crater floor - a sequence that puts you among the first vehicles down rather than arriving after a long transfer.
Across the itinerary, wildlife possibilities may include elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and, in the Ngorongoro ecosystem, the possibility of black rhino. Sightings always depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
The safari is operated privately, so daily timing can be adjusted around your interests, photographic priorities, energy level and wildlife information from the field. Accommodation combines luxury tented safari character with high-end lodge comfort, while meals, park fees, airport transfers and a professional English-speaking guide-driver are incorporated into the land package.
Value comes from the combination of a private vehicle, carefully sequenced overnights, two Serengeti nights, premium properties and an itinerary that avoids unnecessary backtracking. Room types, pace, activities, flight sectors and extensions can all be tailored while keeping the core safari coherent and practical.
Accommodation is subject to availability. If a named property is unavailable, Splendor Safari may propose a comparable property of a similar standard and location.

Day description
Straight from Arusha into the park on the first morning, with the afternoon game drive running all the way to a tented camp on a private conservancy on the eastern boundary.
Morning
Meet your private guide after breakfast and receive a short safari briefing before driving south-west from Arusha through rural landscapes toward Tarangire. Enter the park and begin game viewing as the vegetation shifts to acacia woodland, baobab country and seasonal wetlands.
Afternoon
Pause for a picnic lunch at a designated site, then continue along productive river and woodland circuits - your guide chooses loops according to recent animal movement, road conditions and your photography interests. The game drive continues toward the eastern side of the ecosystem and your private-reserve accommodation. Tarangire is especially associated with elephant, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala, buffalo and a wide range of birds; predators may also be encountered, but no sighting is guaranteed.
Evening
Settle into camp, enjoy time on the deck or at the water-facing areas, followed by dinner and a briefing for the next day.

Day description
A full day in the groundwater forest and lakeshore habitats of Lake Manyara - the fourth park on this route and the one most itineraries skip - closing high on the Rift Valley escarpment.
Morning
After breakfast, travel toward the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara National Park. Enter the park for a flexible game drive through groundwater forest and mixed woodland, where monkeys, baboons, elephant and birdlife are commonly associated with the habitat.
Afternoon
Enjoy a picnic lunch or an arranged lodge-style lunch depending on timing, then continue toward the lakeshore and open areas as conditions allow - water levels and seasonal access influence which circuits are most rewarding. Search for giraffe, buffalo, zebra, impala, hippo and water-associated birdlife while enjoying the contrast between dense forest, escarpment and lake views, before climbing to the Rift Valley escarpment to check in.
Evening
Relax with broad views over the Manyara basin, followed by dinner. On clear evenings the escarpment setting can be especially atmospheric.

Day description
The longest road day of the safari: up through Karatu and the Ngorongoro Highlands, a first look into the crater from the rim, then down onto the plains and into the Serengeti as an en-route game drive.
Morning
Depart after an early breakfast, travel through Karatu and climb into the Ngorongoro Highlands. Weather permitting, pause at a legal viewpoint for a first look into the crater before continuing across the conservation area toward the Serengeti boundary.
Afternoon
Enter Serengeti National Park and continue with a picnic lunch en route. The landscape opens progressively into grassland and kopje country, and the transfer naturally becomes a game drive as you travel deeper into the ecosystem. Explore selected Central Serengeti circuits on the way to the lodge - the Seronera region supports resident wildlife through much of the year and can offer opportunities to look for lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, hyena, zebra and wildebeest depending on conditions.
Evening
Check in, unwind after the long overland day and enjoy dinner in the heart of the park.

Day description
The day the two-night Serengeti stay buys you: no transfer, no fixed schedule, and the choice between a full day in the field or a split drive with lodge time in between.
Morning
Choose an early departure to make use of cool temperatures and softer light, or begin after breakfast for a more relaxed pace. Your guide will use current field information to select river valleys, kopjes and open plains that fit your interests.
Afternoon
Either return to the lodge for lunch, pool time and rest, or carry a picnic and stay out all day - the private format means there is no requirement to follow a shared vehicle timetable. Continue exploring the Central Serengeti, adjusting time around any meaningful wildlife behaviour encountered. Resident plains game and predators make this region worthwhile in every month, although distributions change constantly.
Evening
Return to the lodge before or around sunset for dinner. If you have booked a special dining arrangement, the lodge team will coordinate it subject to availability and weather.

Morning
Start with an early Central Serengeti game drive when the light is gentle and temperatures are cooler, then return for breakfast or brunch before beginning the overland journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Afternoon
Continue east across the plains with wildlife viewing en route; depending on timing, lunch may be taken as a picnic or at the lodge before departure. Climb gradually into the Ngorongoro highlands - the shift from open plains to cooler upland forest creates one of the most dramatic landscape changes on the northern circuit. Arrive at the crater rim area in time to settle in before dinner.
Evening
