Park fees are the single biggest line in a Tanzanian safari price, and they are set by the government, not by us. Serengeti entry is around USD 70 per person per day; Ngorongoro Conservation Area is around USD 70 per person per day plus roughly USD 250 per vehicle for the crater descent; Tarangire and Lake Manyara are around USD 50. Concession fees at camps inside the parks add more. All of it is paid on your behalf and is already inside the price we quote.
That money is the reason there is anything to see. It funds the ranger patrols, the anti-poaching units, the road maintenance and the veterinary teams across an area larger than several European countries, and it is what makes protected land more valuable standing than converted to farmland.
Our quotes include park and concession fees, government taxes, accommodation, all meals on safari, drinking water in the vehicle, the vehicle, fuel, and your professional guide. They exclude international flights, visas, travel insurance, tips, drinks other than water, laundry where it is charged, and optional extras like balloon flights and cultural visits. We itemise all of it, so there are no surprises at the gate.
