A shared safari puts you together with a handful of other travellers in one 4x4, splitting the cost of the vehicle, the guide and the fuel between you. It is the friendliest way to see Tanzania on a sensible budget, and it is how a great many solo travellers and couples choose to go.
We cap every shared vehicle at six guests. That is not the maximum the car will hold — it is the maximum that still leaves everyone a window seat, room for a camera bag at their feet, and space to stand up through the roof hatch without knocking elbows. A packed vehicle is the single fastest way to spoil a game drive, so we simply do not sell one.
Your group travels the same fixed route on fixed dates, so departures are confirmed in advance and you know exactly who you are sharing with before you arrive. Accommodation is booked per room, so couples and friends still share, and solo travellers can either take a single room or be paired with a same-gender roommate to avoid the single supplement.
